The waitlist is open.

Cherokee Gun Club caps active membership at 700. We maintain an active waiting list with a non-refundable $200 application fee that applies toward your initiation fee when membership is offered. Below is what's required.

The process

How to apply

  1. 01

    Find two CGC member sponsors

You must personally know two current CGC members who will sponsor your application. They will sign the application and attest that they know you personally and consider you a safe and responsible gun owner.

  2. 02

    Gather your documents

Proof of U.S. citizenship, current Driver's License, current membership in an approved 2nd Amendment Rights Advocacy Group (as defined in the CGC Red Book), and either a valid Weapons Carry Permit, recognized Law Enforcement credentials, or for applicants 18–20, certified proof of a passed background check.

  3. 03

    Submit application and payment

If membership is available at the time you apply, payment of the full $1,240 initiation fee (which includes your first year's dues) accompanies the application. If you are placed on the waitlist, the $200 application fee is submitted and applied to the initiation fee when membership is later offered.

  4. 04

    Complete range orientation

All new members complete a Range Orientation conducted by the Range Officer or their appointed designee.

  5. 05

    Sign waiver and join

Complete and sign the Member Waiver of Liability. You are now a CGC member. Welcome.
